THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
Bolton Group’s commitment to the environment is expressed at every phase of the production and distribution of our products. All our plants have certified management processes in order to improve our environmental impact, even with the increasing volumes of our production.
Emissions, waste, scraps and energy consumption are constantly monitored and improved in order to reduce the impact of our factories.
Today, about 55% of the electrical energy used by the Group comes from renewable sources and in some plants the percentage reaches 100%. In particular, our tuna plant in Italy uses 100% energy from renewable sources.
All our plants operate with ISO 14001 certified environmental management systems and our plants in Nova Milanese and Calenzano are ISO 50001 certified for their Energy Management Systems.
We are engaged in a process of integrating and expanding management systems and extending certification to sites that are not yet aligned.
